Meet the Founder: Lindsay Kay
Hey there, I’m Lindsay Kay. A woman of many roles - a dedicated boy mom, a wife, and a fierce advocate for mental health and movement. My journey has been a continuous evolution, from my days as a dedicated athlete to embracing the freedom and joy of fun running amidst the tranquil beauty of the Chilliwack Mountains and along the serenity of the Vedder River. I’m the heart behind the Daily Slay Club, the founder of Slay Socials + one of the two faces (alongside my husband) of the Slay Run Club.
The birth of the Slay Movement Collective wasn't a stroke of luck; it emerged from my own struggles, particularly during a challenging postpartum period. Balancing the demands of motherhood, partnership, and professional life hit me hard after welcoming my son. The struggle was real, and amidst this chaos, I stumbled upon the profound connection between movement and mental well-being. As I shared my own challenges, I discovered a powerful truth: I wasn’t alone. Not only did I find that this resonated with mothers, but ALL women. We are so often the caretakers of the family and so rarely seem to take the time to fill our own cups; to look after our own mental well being; to do things that make us genuinely happy.
Devoting just 30 intentional minutes to movement daily became a revelation. It’s more than just physical fitness; it’s a transformative key to mental well-being. This understanding reshaped the Slay Movement Collective into a haven for amazing individuals. It’s a place where challenges are embraced, support flows abundantly, and adventures redefine our limits. This is SO FAR FROM a fitness challenge. That is not the goal. We are aiming to create healthy and sustainable lifestyles through fun.
The core message I uphold within this community is simple yet profound - you are worthy. Your well-being matters. Amidst life's whirlwind, it’s imperative to prioritize yourself. Being part of this community means finding the support and encouragement to focus on your own well-being.
In my journey through motherhood, movement, and community building, I extend an invitation to join me. Let’s rewrite the narrative together. Let's celebrate imperfections, embrace challenges, and empower each other. The Slay Movement Collective is a sanctuary where individuals grow, where adventures take flight, and where we remind each other of our unwavering worth.
