Shalanna Layne:
Since I made the decision to join the Daily Slay Club back in January 2023 I have noticed one small but (to me) major difference – that is the desire I have to move my body and (key factor) with intention for at least 30 minutes a day.
I had a love-hate relationship when it came to working out and moving my body. At one point in my life, I was the girl who enjoyed going to bootcamp classes at least 4 days a week but then I got comfortable and found I was putting my exercising routine more as an option instead of a non-negotiable – even if it was 30 minutes of deep stretching; which my glutes and knees really need lol
When I heard about the Daily Slay movement … this was an opportunity for me to try something new and start small in reactivating my fitness goals. I was already changing my supplements and being more mindful of my eating so this was just the added step I needed for myself in bettering my health and wellness.
From January 2023 to October 2023, I participated in the 100-day challenge that introduced me to a community of ladies that have similar goals which are simply to feel good in their skin and their healthiest self. It also got me out of my comfort zone to try fitness activities that I have always wanted to do but just never did – like spinning and doing hot yoga
All I can say is WOW
As I am writing this, another discovery just came to my mind that deserves some recognition. Again to some, this may not seem so big but to me, this was growth step that I personally needed.
If you have ever met me in person … then you know the energy I can bring to the table. I love to make people smile and empower others to do uncomfortable things so you can step into your passion and purpose but for some reason, going for a walk on my own was a struggle.
Since I joined the Daily Slay Club, this has been something I have been able to step into with fear but now fully embracing doing solo walks not just for moving my body with intention but also for my mental health and a way to spend time with myself
If you are on the fence of joining this community … please know these 3 things :
All are welcomed!!
Nothing changes if you don’t change nothing
It starts with you.
